Dr. Evan Henritze — Clinical Psychologist in Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont

I am a licensed clinical psychologist working with individuals, couples, and groups. I work with people experiencing a broad range of difficulties inhabiting different identities, backgrounds, and ages. My approach is guided by careful attention to language, emotional experience, the body, and the therapeutic relationship as they unfold over time. I am licensed in New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont, and offer teletherapy throughout most of the United States.

Therapy works best when it doesn't feel like one person already knows and the other is trying to catch up. What I aim to create is collaboration — the kind that has texture, takes unexpected turns, and is more useful for it.

Specialties

I work with people facing a range of difficulties in life. Many come with relationship struggles, life transitions, questions of meaning and purpose, or an intention to integrate spirituality with psychological wellbeing. I have specialized training in complex developmental and attachment-based conditions that affect emotional life, sense of self, and trust in relationships — sometimes identified as personality disorders. I also specialize in gender identity, substance misuse or addictions, and trauma.
